Statistical Methods in Engineering and the Physical Sciences
4-5
Head Austen Wallace
Statistics is the science that deals with gathering, classifying, analyzing, and interpreting data. Statistics helps us turn data into information to see the relationship between variables—or the "big picture." This course is an introduction to statistics with an emphasis on modern engineering applications. Students explore concepts of probability theory, discrete and continuous random variables, bivariate probability distributions, categorical data anaylsis, and model building.
