The increasing use of information technology for national security has many benefits as well as some risks. Advanced sensors, smart weapons, and stealth aircraft are a few of the advances developed by the United States in recent decades.
This course explores the impact of technology on national security and the lessons learned by the U.S. through multiple conflicts and wars. Examine the advantages and risks of technological innovations on our military power and homeland defense. Participate in group projects and hear from guest lecturers who have been instrumental in the development of technology and policy.
