Semiconductors have been a key driver of job growth, productivity and innovation in the U.S. and throughout the world. This course will provide a broad based overview of semiconductor technology as well as the specifics of how they function.
Learn about carrier generation, transport, recombination and storage in semiconductors. Explore the physical principles of operation of the p-n junction, metal semiconductor contacts, bipolar junction transistors, MOS capacitors, and MOS field effect transistors. Examine how first order device models reflect physical principles and are useful for integrated circuit analysis and design.
